Meet Caitie Lamb, Blogger of Life With Caitie!

My name is Caitie and I run a blog called, Life With Caitie where I share my Kentucky life! I love sharing businesses here in Lexington as well as surrounding areas and supporting locals. This year my motto is to not just support local, but live local to encourage others to start celebrating their local communities by attending events, shopping local, and getting to know one another!

Q: How long have you lived/worked in Lexington?

Over 5 years.

Q: What led you to your current career and why do you love it?

I always loved writing, so in early 2019 I decided to start my blog!

Q: What would you like for people to know about your job/business?

I do it not only to support local and small businesses but also because writing is my biggest passion.

Q: What or who has been your biggest inspiration?

Vanessa Lau, is absolutely amazing at what she does, she is the one who really sparked something in me to start my blog, and make it into a business.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Lexington and what is your go-to item on the menu?

My favorite restaurant in Lexington is Dudley’s on Short and I love their Hamburger! It is so juicy and delicious. Worth the money.

Q: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Italy. I love what architecture I have seen on social media, but would love to actually go and experience it all in person. I also love learning history.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Lexington?

How friendly the community is, and how there’s never a boring day there/here!

Q: Where do you take friends and family from out of town when they visit?

A variety of places. One of my favorite spots for lunch is the Kentucky Native Cafe.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself still blogging, and right now I’m working towards the steps to my own local-based marketing business.

Q: If you could have lunch with any living person, who would it be?

Elon Musk. I do not agree with everything he says or does, but his mind is so interesting and I think it would be an interesting conversation.

Q: Where can we find you on your day off?

Hiking or writing short stories! When hiking, I love visiting the local trails that are scattered all over Kentucky.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

Skydiving!

Q: What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I like to cosplay as Disney characters for fun sometimes!

Q: What is a topic you wish you knew more about?

The history of Kentucky Basketball.

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show & what are you currently binge-watching?

My favorite movie is Forest Gump and the current TV show is The Good Doctor or Law and Order SVU!

Q: What do you feel is an essential part of your daily or weekly routine that contributes to your overall well-being?

Journaling. Journaling is so so important for the mind and soul.

Q: If you were cast in a movie, who would your co-star be?

I would hope Chris Pratt! I heard and saw that he is super funny on set.

Q: Who is your go-to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?

I have a few, I listen to everything! Probably, Bon Jovi, they don’t have any bad songs!

Q: If you could give advice to any group of people, what would it be?

In general, I would give this advice to anyone: How you treat others, is a reflection of who you are as a person. Make sure your reflection is how you want it to look. It costs zero dollars to be kind to others.
