Meet Miranda Stewart Owner of Sass In The Bluegrass!

I graduated University of Northern Iowa in 2016 and moved to Lexington 2 weeks after! I had visited Lexington before for vacation, and thought it was a pretty neat place. Bella (my sweet teddy bear pup) and I moved here without friends, family, or even a career lined up. I have been through some tough times for sure, but I have grown so much during my time here. I am grateful for my agency, these experiences, my friends, and my supportive family.

Q: How long have you lived/worked in Lexington?
I’ve lived in Lexington since 2016.

Q: What led you to your current career and why do you love it?
I studied PR in college and always dreamed of owning my own agency. I worked for a few corporations, where I was a top selling sales manager. However, my passion is in supporting local! I love helping small businesses in Central Kentucky grow. It is so rewarding to see our initiatives come to life, whether it is an awesome event, social media growth, or a beautiful wedding!

Q: What would you like for people to know about your job/business?
I love helping small buisness owners grow! Here at SASS, we focus on producing real results for clients loacally. We understand the average buisness owner works over 50 hours a week, so implementing marketing/PR is easier said than done. We offer serives that are afforadble and beneficial to our clients’ objectives.

Q: What or who has been your biggest inspiration?
As cheesy as it may sound, my mom is my biggest inspiration! She is the ultimate boss babe and has owned several companies. She gives me my sense of drive and determination. Fight or flight, always choose the first!

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Lexington and what is your go to item on the menu?
This is a tough question, because I am a foodie! Currently, I am loving wings from Cocktails Too, The Smokey Bear Roll from Asuka, and anything from Rolling Oven!g

Q: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Australia is on my mind at the moment, but I am currently planning to visit Paris, London and Dublin in 2022 with some friends!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Lexington?
The fact that I can be in a big city, then drive 15 minutes and be in gorgeous horse country! I love the people, food, UK basketball, and I’m actually starting to like bourbon a little!

Q: Where do you take friends and family from out of town when they visit?
Woodford Reserve, UK, horse farms, Keeneland, and some fun bars downtown. I also love visiting small towns like Versailles when my family visits.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself representing even more small businesses in both Iowa and Kentucky, having a physical office with a few stellar employees, a full candy bowl, and my dog Bella Louise by my side! I’d love to start a podcast and write a book someday too!

Q: If you could have lunch with any living person, who would it be?
Rihanna or anyone from Shark Tank!

Q: Where can we find you on your day off?
You can find me at my pool, out with friends, cooking, or playing basketball!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I do not have bucket list, but I do have a Manifest List. A black Audi R8 is on it! I would love to drive it through Red Rock Canyon

Q: What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I come from a diverse family! My older brother is Korean and my younger sisters are Latina! I also am an extroverted, introvert!

Q: What is a topic you wish you knew more about?
Crypto, formula 1 racing, and of course business. You can never know too much about business!

All American, Heist, and Outerbanks on Netflix!

Q: What do you feel that is an essential part of your daily or weekly routine that contributes to your overall well-being?
Taking breaks from my phone at the end of the day, traveling, spending time with family and friends.

Q: If you were cast in a movie, who would your co-star be?
Rihanna! She is a whole vibe. I love that she does what she wants, when she wants. She built a whole beauty empire, when everyone was begging her to release new music.

Q: Who is your go to band or artist when you can’t decide on something to listen to?
Rihanna, Jason Aldean, Alessia Cara, and Marren Morris.

Q: If you could give advice to any group of people, what would it be?
Find peace in knowing that your path is different, but not any less valuable than others! You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Keep going and embrace your failures, because that promotes growth! Keep going.

Whitney with Fabulous in Fayette!
